HaasOnline TradeServer now trades BloFin spot, alongside the USDT- and COIN-margined perpetuals we already support. All three BloFin venues are live on HaasOnline TradeServer Cloud.

Until today our BloFin integration covered its derivatives venues only. We carried BloFin spot prices, but bots could not place spot orders. That changes now: connect a BloFin spot account and your bots can trade 350+ spot pairs, with the same strategies you already run on other spot exchanges.

It also means a spot strategy and a leveraged futures strategy can run on BloFin side by side, as separate exchange accounts in TradeServer.

What the Integration Supports

  • 350+ Spot Pairs: BloFin's spot book, from the majors to a long tail of altcoins
  • Real-Time Order and Balance Updates: fills, cancels and balance changes reach your bots over BloFin's private WebSocket as they happen, rather than on the next poll
  • The Order Types Bots Use: limit, market, post-only, immediate-or-cancel and fill-or-kill
  • Post-Only Orders: maker-only placement, so grid and market-making strategies can keep their fills on the maker side
  • Smart Trade: place a manual BloFin spot trade with its take profit and stop loss attached, and HaasOnline closes it when a level is reached. No bot, no HaasScript
  • Paper Trading: BloFin spot simulated accounts are live, so you can rehearse a strategy against real BloFin prices before committing capital

One thing to know: BloFin's spot order endpoint doesn't take stop or take-profit orders. Stops still work. A bot's stop-loss and take-profit logic runs inside HaasOnline TradeServer, and so do the exits on a Smart Trade manual order: on a venue that can't hold a stop, TradeServer watches the price and places the closing order itself when the level is hit.

Spot and Futures on One Exchange

BloFin built its name on derivatives, and the futures side stays as it was: USDT-margined perpetuals settled in USDT with linear P&L, coin-margined perpetuals, and leverage of up to 150x. Spot adds the other half. Your bots buy and sell the actual asset, with no leverage and nothing to liquidate, which makes it the natural place for accumulation, DCA and spot grid strategies.

In TradeServer the three venues are separate exchange accounts: BloFin SPOT, BloFin USDT and BloFin COIN. Add the ones you want to trade.

Getting Started with BloFin Spot

Step 1: Create Your BloFin Account

If you don't have one yet, sign up at BloFin and fund your spot account.

Step 2: Generate API Keys

  1. Log into BloFin, click the profile icon and open API
  2. Click + Create API Key and choose HAAS as the application name
  3. Enable the Trade permission and set a passphrase. Store it safely, you'll need it when connecting to HaasOnline
  4. Enter the IP address shown in the HaasOnline TradeServer Cloud account setup screen
  5. Copy the API key and secret immediately. The secret is only shown once

The BloFin setup guide walks through each screen.

Step 3: Connect to HaasOnline

  1. Log into HaasOnline TradeServer Cloud
  2. Go to Exchange Accounts and add a new exchange account
  3. Choose BloFin SPOT from the exchange list
  4. Enter your API key as the public key, your secret as the private key, and your passphrase
  5. Click Test keys to verify the connection, then Save account

Tip: avoid pasting extra spaces around your credentials. Trailing whitespace is the most common cause of a failed key test.

Automated Strategies on BloFin Spot

Every spot strategy in HaasOnline TradeServer now runs on BloFin:

  • WaveRunner: our spot grid with anchor-scale safety and auto re-anchor, which shrinks order size as price drifts and re-anchors the grid around the current price
  • Grid Trading: ladder buy and sell orders across a price range, with post-only keeping fills on the maker side
  • DCA: average into a position on a schedule or on drawdown triggers
  • Signals: trade an external webhook, from TradingView or your own source
  • HaasScript: build fully custom logic in our Lua-based scripting language, with 750+ built-in commands, or in the visual editor

The full list for the exchange is on the BloFin page.

Manual Trades with Smart Trade

Not every trade needs a bot. Smart Trade (in Beta) works on BloFin spot from day one: open the Execute trade panel, pick your BloFin SPOT account, market and amount, switch on Smart Trade, and set your take-profit targets and stop loss before you place the order. HaasOnline watches the price and closes the trade when a level is reached, and since BloFin spot can't hold a stop on the exchange, that is exactly the part HaasOnline does for you. The Smart Trade launch post walks through it.

Risk Management

Spot trading takes leverage and liquidation out of the picture, but automation doesn't eliminate the risk: a bot executes a bad strategy faster than you would by hand, and a spot position can still lose most of its value. Common practices worth considering:

  • Paper trade first: simulated BloFin spot accounts cost nothing and catch configuration mistakes before they cost money
  • Start small: validate a strategy on a new venue with small order sizes before scaling up
  • Know your exits: BloFin spot has no exchange-side stop orders, so your stops live in TradeServer; set them and test them on paper first
  • Size per trade: some traders cap risk per trade at a small percentage of capital rather than sizing to conviction

About BloFin

BloFin is a Cayman Islands-registered exchange that began as a quantitative finance firm in 2019 and launched its public trading platform in 2023. Derivatives make up the bulk of its volume, and its API was built for programmatic access from the start.
