Gate Trading Bot
About Gate
Gate was founded in 2013 in China as Bter.com, became Gate.io in 2017, and now trades simply as Gate from the Cayman Islands, operating regulated entities across multiple jurisdictions. It is known for one of the broadest altcoin selections in the industry, listing thousands of spot pairs, and operates a native utility token, GT, offering fee discounts.
Gate runs perpetual and dated futures markets as well, but our integration covers its spot exchange — which is where the breadth is, and it is a lot of breadth.
For automation, Gate has the widest spot market universe of any venue we support, which makes it the natural home for screening and rotation strategies that need thousands of candidates. The corollary is that most of those pairs are illiquid, so a strategy that ranks the whole universe should filter on volume before it ranks on signal.

Strategies you can run on Gate
- Arbitrage: exploit price differences between two connected venues, so it needs a second exchange
- DCA: average into a position on a schedule or on drawdown triggers
- Grid trading: ladder orders through a range and work the swings inside it
- Market making: quote both sides and earn the spread
- Ping pong: buy a level, sell the next one up, repeat
- Scalping: short-horizon entries and exits on your own tick interval
- Signals: trade an external webhook, from TradingView or your own source, with each incoming signal firing the bot immediately
- WaveRunner: grid trading with anchor-scale safety and auto re-anchoring
- Custom HaasScript: Lua-based, 750+ built-in commands, visual or full-script editors
We connect to Gate's spot markets only, so there is no leverage and nothing to liquidate.
Every strategy can be backtested against historical Gate data before you commit capital, and you can connect an AI assistant through our MCP server to audit and write strategies in conversation.
Automate Gate in minutes
Automated trading does not remove market risk. Past performance is not indicative of future results, and only deploy capital you can afford to have at risk.
