About WEEX

WEEX launched in 2018 and now runs from a Dubai headquarters, having previously operated out of Singapore. It holds money services business registrations with FinCEN in the United States and FINTRAC in Canada, and lists a broad book across spot and derivatives, with USDT-margined perpetual contracts making up the bulk of its derivatives book. WEEX does not serve US customers: the United States is an excluded jurisdiction under its terms of use.

It is our newest integration. Both the spot and futures markets are available to bots through the same API credentials, so a single connected account covers everything WEEX lists.

Two things are worth knowing before you point a strategy at it. Historical price data on WEEX futures reaches back to late 2023, which is enough for a meaningful backtest but shorter than the multi-year history available on older venues, so treat long-horizon backtests here as less well evidenced than the same test on Binance or Kraken. Spot markets have no usable price history yet, so backtest spot strategies elsewhere and deploy them here once you are satisfied.

Strategies you can run on WEEX

• Arbitrage: exploit price differences between two connected venues, so it needs a second exchange
• DCA: average into a position on a schedule or on drawdown triggers
• Grid trading: ladder orders through a range and work the swings inside it
• Market making: quote both sides and earn the spread
• Ping pong: buy a level, sell the next one up, repeat
• Scalping: short-horizon entries and exits on your own tick interval
• Signals: trade an external webhook, from TradingView or your own source, with each incoming signal firing the bot immediately
• WaveRunner: grid trading with anchor-scale safety and auto re-anchoring
• Zone recovery: hedge a losing position rather than close it, and work back to flat
• Custom HaasScript: Lua-based, 750+ built-in commands, visual or full-script editors

WEEX's spot and derivatives markets are separate integrations on our side, so one set of API keys gives your bots both order books and a spot strategy and a leveraged one can run side by side.

Every strategy can be backtested against historical WEEX data before you commit capital, and you can connect an AI assistant through our MCP server to audit and write strategies in conversation.
